i'm recalling the great larry johnson, forward for the knicks in the late '90s, who, after hitting a game winning three pointer in the playoffs, responded in the post game interview with, "all praise is due to allah for letting me hit that shot." i'm also reacalling the great richard pryor who said, "the chinese fuck quick, too." all over the map and lovin' it.

been waiting to start 'the shock doctrine: the rise of disaster capitalism' by naomi klein for a month or so since i picked it up.
inspired by your work and some of our conversations, as well as a desire for a little holiday cheer, i started it yesterday.
interesting transition from book 1 of the baroque series i was telling you about, focussed around the time of our nation's birth, and about much of the 'natural philosophy' (i.e. science) that led us to the enlightened state in which we live, where such ideas trump those concerning imaginary friends in the clouds.
oh wait, kurt warner's on tv talking about the physics of a field goal.
anyway, i'm pretty sure they both end at toys-r-us.
