for all fans of the 500 club ep (raise your hands up high, please, it’s important that i get an accurate count), it is now available on the music page. i hadn’t listened to it in a long while. it’s good. makes me think of sf and spending night after night in transmedia’s battery street studio with jay o o jay. i remember tprowell’s guitar beauty and recording that pedal steel player and setting up amps in the courtyard and falling in love with carrie bradley of the breeders fame while conducting her violin parts on showtime and that lovely day up in marin with ben jacobs in the studio with a real mellotron and watching the great eddie izzard do stand up after. mixing the record at hyde street was one of the seminal memories of my sf days. standing where grace slick recorded white rabbit. walking over to that amazingly great and even more amazingly cheap shit hole indian restaurant in the tenderloin where you could bring in your own beer. i miss that damn city sometimes. i’m glad to have this cd as a vibrating memento.

I played that tune to start my show forever.
Dagan and Talia were babies then…man we’re old.
But with age comes a full library.
And I know yours includes a drunken, stoned stop at Shed 76.
Just get it over with, like removing a bandaid.
ps
I will again, in celebration of life changes, start my show tomm. with “Showtime”. Who knows what else might show up. Consider yourselves warned.

I think I still have the trots from that Korma I ate at the Naan & Curry, and I still owe you one for keeping me company and averting a nervous breakdown while we rummaged through 15 of TP’s guitar tracks. Funny, I listened to it last week out of the blue. I hadn’t done that for probably a year. Anyway, my hand is raised high. Ya done good uncle kev. BTW, I too fell in love with Carrie Bradley while you were doing the violin parts on showtime.
YOU done good uncle jay. you were the man on that project. turned out good. carrie bradley … where is she now?
Last I heard, married and living somewhere in Hew Hampshire.
