i tried not to breathe for as long as i could when i woke up this morning. breathing hurt … that’s a bad sign, right?
stomach empty. head scrambling. restless. exhausted. ambiguous pain. it went on like that for hours. but it felt good when i tried not to breathe. you might try it sometime …

i’ve since resumed breathing. for better or worse …

i saw things:

i saw mark olson look just as content before 30 people at chelsea’s as he did before 1,500 people at the vic theatre a few weeks ago.

i saw the lights on the city.

i saw a very dear woman make words light light light up a red room.

i saw with a lot of joy.

and some sadness, too.

i saw a dog in a tree!
