hot, steamy, funky, rich. baton rouge is almost home. almost unpacked, getting settled, lots of hauling and cleaning and sweating and what not. no internet at the house yet. i’ve been able to piggy back a few times but need to get officially set up. neighbors are nice, neighborhood is great, house seems huge. landlord has some things to fix. the last tenant didn’t tell him about several things, so he’s gonna come by in the middle of the week and check stuff out. he seems very nice and mellow.
i think it’s all gonna be alright.
lots and lots of photos coming.
here i am at perk’s using the wifi looking crazed and sweaty.
gotta go home and continue the grind. dad leaves tomorrow, so i’m riding him as hard as i can until he splits.
hope to see you all down here soon.
love,
kev

Welcome home
Been on the panhandle of florida all week eating shrimp oysters and gumbo, warming up for our visit
I hope your stove isn’t on the list for the landlord
ps I’ve got a picture our favorite water tower at home
you should add a water tower page to your site
remember when that redneck tried to run me over in carbondale when i pulled over to take a picture of that water tower? some people don’t see the beauty of water towers.
You’re living in louisiana for three days and there’s already a tropical storm looming off the coast
Your luck strangely resembles mine, kc
It actually formed friday and saturday directly over our heads on cape san blas
My favorite weather channel meteor. dave schwartz pointed out the “interesting rotation” as we were watching it rain on our last full day at the beach (can you tell i’m completely obsessed with weather)
Couldn’t help but think of you
Makanda is a short 91/2 hours north on 55 if you need to run for the hills
And yes i now remember that you already have a picture of our favorite water tower
God speed paul simon (though the tie doesn’t exactly scream makanda)
i better start pricing generators … add it to the list.
