breaking the unbreakable

July 14th, 2008 by kevin

i’ve moved the blog from wordpress.com (free) to bluehost, which is a self hosting site i pay for. why get something for free when you can pay for it, huh? the answer, or so i’ve been told/sold, it that you can do more shit with the site when you host it yourself. unfortunately, while i know what i want to do, i don’t know how to do it!

therefore, if in the next day or so the blog is doing weird shit, rest assured, i am doing something wrong.

my goal is to figure out how to have a photo gallery and a page where i can post audio files.

i think it’ll be cool when i figure it out.

today, i stayed in while everyone else went to the baseball game and fucked around with the blog. i also managed to wash, and dry, a ball point pen. i spent an hour or so trying to wipe off the ink from the dryer drum using rubbing alcohol. damn near passed out once. i’m presently drying a wet white towel to see if any of the ink is coming off.

just trying to leave my mark as a houseguest in the form of blue stains on everyone’s clothes … grace, beauty, poise …

If I didn’t know better, I’d think this was my blog entry about a visit to Dave and Sherry’s.
    Classic.
    Also-congrats on the home.
Let me know when it’s open for business and we’ll come down and help you put in a garden or something-sounds like you’ll need all the produce you can get in the bayou.

hooch, it’s funny you say that about the garden. i was thinking yesterday that i really need to take advantage of the yard and start growing some herbs and vegetables.

that being said, god knows i’m inept as a gardener/garden planner and could certainly benefit from your expertise. whenever you want … maybe this fall when temps get chilly in so-il y’all could head down to warmer climates and get some southern love and we could dig big holes in the yard. it’d be great to see you. i’m guessing we could probably drink a beer or two while we garden, you think?
