i avoided a dear friend’s birthday party on the 4th of july because i have nothing at all to give but this heart of a pussy and i fucking hate it.
three tall sazaracs and five joints and cold beers for the road and my brother neil and port allen and fireworks all to scream bleeding lies of patience and honor and love (ha!) down by the river with the young brothers and their proud grandmothers who shake their heads and peel away when i call my dog a communist and ask to have their babies and cry lonely as hell i’m tired, so tired. crazy fucking cracker … boy’s got the heart of a pussy.
