today i’m learning a song to play with catherine and henry, the happy family i give drum lessons to every week. the song is ‘nothin’ better to do’ by bare jr. bare jr. was bobby bare jr.’s band. bobby bare jr. is the son of the country singer bobby bare.
anyway …
it’s a great song. the chorus is, ‘i’m in love with you/cause i got nothin’ better to do.’

so i’m farting around on the internet reading about bobby bare jr. cause he seems solid. i find his myspace blog and stumble across this part of a post:

my 3 year old daughter Belly Bare woke me the other morning to tell me she was crying because she was happy and i could tell she was confused because it had never happened to her before -
i asked her why she was so happy and she said
